TSS and Its Components

| TSS | Technical Security System | The TR-03153-certified transaction logging device that secures ERS events as signed log messages. |
| CSPL | Cryptographic Service Provider-Light | A CC-certified component of the TSS responsible for generating cryptographic signatures. |
| SMAERS | Security Module Application for Electronic Record-keeping Systems | A CC-certified component of the TSS that logs transactions. |
| TSS storage | — | Typically a database, used for storing the signed log messages. |
Infrastructure & Operations
Section titled “Infrastructure & Operations”| Term | Full Name | Description |

| ERS | Electronic Record-keeping System | A cash register or POS system, depending on the operational environment. An ERS has to be registered as a client with a TSS. |
| Operational environment | — | The environment within the ERS user’s control (servers, network, routers, etc.). |
| Management UI | — | The fiskaly cloud management interface for managing TSSs. |
| SIGN DE storage | — | Typically a database, used for storing the resources generated in, and data submitted to, the SIGN DE API by the ERS. |
| Data export | — | A TAR file including signed log messages from the TSS storage. |
| PKI | — | The TR-03145-certified Public Key Infrstructure that verifies the identity of the TSS signing key. A full PKI certificate chain is included in every TSS data export. |
