Security & Cryptography

| CSP | Cryptographic Service Provider | A CC-certified component of the TSS responsible for generating cryptographic signatures. |
| SMA | Security Module Application | A CC-certified component of the TSS that handles security-critical operations. |
| TC package | Trusted Channel Package | Certified component for establishing secure communication with the CSP. |
| TC proxy | Trusted Channel Proxy | Certified component that routes secure communication to the CSP. |
TSS Components
Section titled “TSS Components”| Term | Full Name | Description |

| TSS | Technical Security System | The complete set of components used to secure, store, and manage fiscal data. |
| CTSS | Certified Technical Security System | The certified component of the TSS device. |
| CTSS API | Certified TSS API | The interface to the actual TSS — used for signing and data operations. |
| SDK | Software Development Kit | Encapsulates the CC-certified SMA component and manages communication with the fiskaly cloud. |
Infrastructure & Operations
Section titled “Infrastructure & Operations”| Term | Full Name | Description |

| ERS | Electronic Record-keeping System | A cash register or POS system, depending on the operational environment. |
| Operational environment | — | The environment within the user’s control (servers, network, routers, etc.). |
| Management UI | — | The fiskaly cloud management interface for managing TSSs. |
| Storage medium | — | Typically a database, used for storing the secured fiscal data. |
