The serial_number of a client should reflect the unique identifier of the electronic record-keeping system as stated in paragraph 7.5 of BSI TR-03153 (Technical Guideline BSI TR-03153 - Technical security device for electronic record-keeping systems). The serial_number must be provided by the manufacturer.
