What does the ideal checkout process look like?

This is what the ideal checkout process looks like:

• Customer approaches the POS.

• A transaction is started with state ACTIVE and without the schema object (tx_revision=1).

• The sales process and payment process are performed at the POS. 

• The transaction is updated after the successful payment with filled schema and state FINISHED (tx_revision=2).

 

In gastronomy scenarios, long lasting transactions with processType order (‘Bestellung-V1’) are needed additionally.
