Proof of Ownership

A Proof of Ownership document is required by the relevant Peppol Authority to verify that the registered legal entity is legitimate. It also confirms legal ownership and accountability of the invoicing setup for the configured E_INVOICE_SERVICE system.
When this is required
Section titled “When this is required”You must upload a Proof of Ownership after creating and commissioning an
E_INVOICE_SERVICE system.
Without successful verification, the system remains in DEGRADED mode and
cannot transition to OPERATIVE.
What is required
Section titled “What is required”Provide a document showing the company’s identifying information, such as:
- Company name (fiscal name)
- VAT number (tax ID)
- Legal address
If available, include the Peppol Participant ID. If it is not provided, a Peppol Participant ID is assigned during registration based on the VAT number and country.

- Wait for fiskaly verification
- Monitor system mode until it changes to
OPERATIVE
To enable e-invoice delivery via Peppol, the legal entity must be registered in the Peppol network.
As part of registration, the taxpayer on whose behalf e-invoices are sent and received is validated.
If the taxpayer already has a Peppol Participant ID, they must be de-registered with the current (or previous) service provider before a new registration can be completed.
