Recipients schema differences: national vs. international
In COMPLETE and ENRICHMENT invoices, the structure of the recipients field changes depending on whether the recipient is national (Spanish) or international (non-Spanish).
For Spanish recipients, use the object structure NationalIdentification
For non-Spanish recipients, use the object structure InternationalIdentification
Additionally, when the recipient of a COMPLETE invoice is non-Spanish, each item in the invoice must include the concept field.
Note: If the non-Spanish recipient has a valid Spanish NIF or NIE, even if their tax address is abroad, the NationalIdentification scheme must be used.
The Validate Tax Number endpoint lets you verify the tax numbers of Spanish recipients and recipients in other EU countries before issuing invoices. For more details, see the article How does the Validate Tax Number endpoint work?
